Sugars

John,
I have read several posts that you have answered about boosting the % of alcohol in wines, you said to add sugar before the start of the fermentation. What type of sugar, corn or cane , or does it matter?

Pumpkin Beer

Can I make a pumpkin beer by adding pumpkin pie filling to an extract beer kit beer? IF so what beer kit do you suggest, how much pumpkin to add and when to add it -- Thanks for the help

Full keg storeage

Summer is here and I would like to brew a few kegs to have on hand. Do they have to be stored chilled or can I carbonate them as usual and then remove from the fridge and store at room temperature (74 deg). If so how long can I store them like this?

Priming Sugar

I usually keg half of my batch and bottle the rest using Coopers drops. I am out of them and have a bunch of packets of priming sugar. How much sugar should I add to a 12 ounce bottle and a 22 oz bottle?

Another keg question

I kegged my batch and now I am wondering if I can bottle some it from the keg. Will it work if I used a long piece of tubing on the tap so I can bottom fill the bottles or do I need a counter pressure filler?

Keg question.......

My family gave me a soda keg system for Christmas. Now that I have one could someone answer a question... Should I use a fining agent such as isinglass or gelatin in the secondary to assure that the brew is as clear as can be before racking to the keg?

kit shelf life

A friend gave me a wine making kit for a white zinfandel that has to be at least 4 years old. I know the yeast is out of date but is there a shelf life on the other contents of the kit, such as the concentrate etc? I don't want to spend all the time making it and having to "sink it" rather...
