My roommate does not like beer, but he wants to start making Root Beer and other sodas. Can I use my beer equipment (bucket, hoses, bottle filler, etc.) to make the soda? Or would the soda put "off tastes" in my beer? Any and all help is appreciated.

I have a question, is there a difference between the different types of glasses? Is there a better glass for different beers? Any and all help is appreciated.
