White flecks

We have some wine made from Isabella grapes in two different carboys. Both have some white flecks floating on top of the wine. We used a wine thief to draw out a glass and it tastes and smells fine. Should we be concerned about the white flecks? What do you think they are?

Re: Sweet Wine Question

Your advice helped us a lot. We finished bottling the Niagara and it turned out better than we expected!

Cleaning Enolmatic Filters

We've been using an Enolmatic Bottle Filler with their inline filter and have been cleaning the filters with Enolsan. Can the filters be cleaned with any other product? I can't find any more Enolsan.

Re: Sweet Wine Question

We have an Enolmatic with a 1 micron filter. What would be the risk of just using the 1 micron filter for our Niagara? It's very clear. If the 1 micron is not sufficient, can you recommend where we can get a 6 and a .5? I only see a 5 micron on your site.

Thanks for any help. :-)

Sweet Wine Question

This is our first time making wine from grapes in our vineyard. Some of the wines should be sweet, such as Brianna (should be a dessert wine), Niagara and Catawba. We've tasted them and they do taste good (we prefer dry wines). However, we were expecting them to be sweet and planned to serve them to...
