Just a reminder that entries to the homebrew contest at the state fair have to be postmarked by 6/20/11

Thanks for the reminder. I am going down to judge. I am sure there will be some good beers this year.

John,

I'm sending a few bottles from your G & G Summer Ale kit.

What would be the best catagory(ies) to enter? I don't really see a style that fits very well on the BJCP.

thanks,
g.

The judging is on the 16th of July. It is a Saturday but the fair is not open then.

gwitz1- that is a good question. I think I would try 'experimental' beer or perhaps 'herb/spice'veg' beer.

Well didn't place in either the state fair or ohio brew week, feedback was all positive from state fair, just the beer was not "special enough". The recipe was done quite conservitivly so I got whe score (32 of 50 ) that I expected, still waiting for judge sheets from Ohio brew week

We tasted many good beers. The judging was difficult to be sure.
