Just wondering

Postby doug_daniels » Mon Jan 03, 2011 7:32 pm

1. Is the ProMash software compatible with Windows 7?
2. Looking at a recipe that calls for an addition of 1 qt. white muscat grape concentrate, sugestions?
3. Same recipe also calls for 10 threads of saffron, sugestions?
4. Just had a bottle of g&g holiday spiced ale, great stuff! Better than the other spiced ales now in my fridge, including Great Lakes and Sam Adams. Love your kits, haven't had a bad one yet!

1) I have heard that it will run on 7 but you have to install some program that allows xp programs to run and you cannot run any other programs at the same time. But it will work.

2) Muscat concentrate we have here (46 oz can): http://www.thegrape.net/browse.cfm/4,8220.html

3) I don't have any experience with Saffron

4) Cool! Glad to hear it!!

Saffron is a high-end spice used in a lot of Spanish dishes. It is actually part of a flower. The spice is usually sold in little amounts, and is sold in threads. It usually stains anything it touches a sort of reddish color. Use just a little amount in a recipe, because a lot of saffron is a lot of saffron, if you know what I mean! It can be found at World Market, and/or anywhere else you can find other high-end spices. I hope this is of help to you!
