Thanks for your quick response. Another question. There is nearly an inch to an inch and a half of sediment at the bottom of my one gallon carboy. Will the yeast digest the purée or will I be left with less than a gallon of wine? I've read about yeast canbalizing their own cells, was wondering would the yeast digest the purée first?
Also I purchased a 3 gallon kit of orange chocolate port. I only have 2 two gallon primary ferm buckets. Can I split the the kit for primary fermentation and the combine both buckets into the 3 gallon carboy I purchased?
