Mascarpone is an Italian cheese that originated in the town of Lodi which is located to the south of Milan. Mascarpone is made all over Italy and is used primarily as a dessert cheese for making pastries. It can be served with fresh fruit and makes a wonderful spread which can be used on breads or bagels in place of cream cheese.
This kit contains enough ingredients to make many, many batches of Mascarone.
