Flaked maize is an essential ingredient when brewing American style lagers, pilsners, or cream ales. When added to your recipe, it creates a lighter beer without lowering the original gravity. Creates a mild flavor that results in a drier, more crisp beer.
Up to 50% of the grain bill can be flaked maize for the most flaked maize intense recipes. However, on average, while using flaked maize as an adjunct/additive, it takes 20-30% of the grain bill.
