Pilsen Malt- Briess
2 row Pilsen malt. Color is .9-1.2 deg Lovibond. Diastatic power is 110-130. Total protein is 11.3% maximum. Because of the lower protein levels, Pilsen malt yields a slightly higher extract and tends to have a lighter color than the Briess 2-row brewers malt. Pilsen malt imparts a delicately sweet flavor which results in a smoother, less grainy flavored beer. Pilsen malt has a significant difference in flavor than 2-row brewers malt. A superb base malt for Pilsen beers, and may be used as a base malt for all beer styles. Please specify whole or crushed at checkout.
