Our American Imperial IPA kit produces one big hoppy/malty complex beer. We use over 10 lbs of malt extract with crystal and Munich malts to provide the big body and alcohol content. Three different hop varieties (Cascade, Centenial,and Chinook) are added during six hop additions for 100+ IBU's. Truley a big tasty brew. Commercial examples are Stone Ruination IPA and Three Floyd's Dreadnaught Ale.
The kit includes malt syrup, dry malt, specialty grains, steeping sock, pellet hops, priming sugar, dry yeast, Whirlfloc tablet, and instructions. It requires a 45 minute boil and makes 5 US Gallons. If you prefer to use liquid yeast we recommend Wyeast #1056 Ale. Anticipated SG 1.084, SRM 11, IBU 100+, ABV 8.7%.
