Kombucha Scoby

White Labs now offers WLP600 Kombucha SCOBY, a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast that is used for fermenting sweet tea into kombucha.

White Labs' SCOBY is free of food pathogens and has been genetically identified to know specially what yeast and bacteria are involved in the fermentation of kombucha. This SCOBY has medium acetic acid production and low alcohol production based on this recipe.

The SCOBY diameter is 2.92 inches. Sufficient to add to a one gallon batch of Kombucha.

Victory Malt- Briess
Color is 25 degrees Lovibond. Victory malt is processed in such a way that it imparts a warm, biscuity, nutty flavor similar to baking bread to beer. It also adds a deep gold to brown color. For Nutbrown ales, try adding 10-15% of grist (one pound in extract batches). For dark amber and dark beers, try 2-5% of total grist. For porters, try 5-10% of grist. Please specify whole or crushed at checkout.
